America's Road Team is a national public outreach program led by a small group of professional truck drivers who share superior driving skills, remarkable safety records and a strong desire to spread the word about safety on the highway. Captains spend two years traveling across the country to educate the public about safety, the trucking industry and driving. |
January 2009 Two ABF drivers, Paul Gattin and Ben Saiz, were named to the ATA Americas Road Team for 2009-2010. At least one ABF driver has represented the industry on every Americas Road Team since 1995. In five of those years, ABF had two drivers named to the Road Team. |

ABF U-Pack Moving participated in a joint effort with Americas Second Harvest to do a tour of nine U.S. cities to create awareness and raise funds to fight child hunger. The initiative provided one million pounds of food to children at risk of hunger. The tour ended in Washington D.C. with a ceremony hosted by Senator Lincoln. |
