Top Training 125; Training magazine	The Top 125 ranking is determined by assessing a range of factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.	February 2010 – ABF was the highest ranked transportation company and ranked 57th overall.
One of the Top Companies To Sell For; Selling Power magazine	Recognition is ranked based on assessments of compensation, training and career mobility for companies, with sales forces of 500 or more people, across all industries.	November 2009 – ABF was the highest ranked transportation company and ranked second overall in the service sector. The eighth consecutive year (2002 – 2009) ABF has ranked among the top 10 of the magazine’s annual listing.
ABF included on the InformationWeek 500; InformationWeek magazine	Recognition honors the nation’s most innovative users of business technology who harness technology to improve efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue and establish a competitive advantage.	September 2009 – The fourth consecutive year ABF has been listed on the InformationWeek 500.
ABF Driver Named National Driving Champion; American Trucking Associations	Recognizes excellence in driving skills, industry knowledge and work ethic of professional truck drivers.	August 2009 – Anthony Spero earned his second National Championship (Tank Truck Class). In 2006, he won the Flatbed Class.
Excellence in Security Award; American Trucking Associations	This award recognizes the motor carrier that has excelled at protecting personnel, equipment and freight and has surpassed all others in securing its company’s and customers’ assets. ABF was recognized as a company that has evaluated the risk, implemented the programs, applied the tools, trained the personnel and managed the systems and processes that successfully minimized theft and violence.	July 2009 – The fifth year ABF has earned this award (2007, 2005, 2004 and 2001). ABF is the only five-time winner of this award, which has only been in existence since 2001.
ABF Drivers Named as Captains of America’s Road Team; American Trucking Associations	America's Road Team is a national public outreach program led by a small group of professional truck drivers who share superior driving skills, remarkable safety records and a strong desire to spread the word about safety on the highway. Captains spend two years traveling across the country to educate the public about safety, the trucking industry and driving.	January 2009 – Two ABF drivers, Paul Gattin and Ben Saiz, were named to the ATA America’s Road Team for 2009-2010. At least one ABF driver has represented the industry on every America’s Road Team since 1995. In five of those years, ABF had two drivers named to the Road Team.

April 2008 – Record fourth year for ABF to earn the award (2008, 2005, 2002, and 2001).
Haul Across America; (Recognized by) Arkansas U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln	ABF U-Pack Moving participated in a joint effort with America’s Second Harvest to do a tour of nine U.S. cities to create awareness and raise funds to fight child hunger. The initiative provided one million pounds of food to children at risk of hunger. The tour ended in Washington D.C. with a ceremony hosted by Senator Lincoln.	March 2008
Transport of artifacts for the U.S. Marshals Museum; (Recognized by) U.S. Marshals Service	ABF handled the transfer, from Cheyenne, Wyoming to Fort Smith, Arkansas, of artifacts that will be displayed in the new, planned Fort Smith, AR home of the U.S. Marshals Museum.	November 2007
ABF Drivers Named National Driving Champions; American Trucking Associations	Recognizes excellence in driving skills, industry knowledge and work ethic of professional truck drivers.	August 2007 – ABF drivers John Hazlett and Kevin Scott Harris were recognized as 2007 national champions. They represent other past ABF drivers who have been honored as national driving champions and state driving champions throughout the United States.

ABF U-Pack.com named Best Institutional Services Web site; Web Marketing Association	This competition provides a forum to recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective Web sites on the Internet. Entries were judged on design, copywriting, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and use of technology.	September 2005
