ABF Freight System, Inc.® Celebrates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week FORT SMITH, Ark., Aug. 20, 2001 -- ABF Freight System, Inc.® is celebrating the sixth annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Aug. 25 through Sept. 1, 2001, by kicking off its annual "Appreciate Your Trucker...ABF Does" campaign. The campaign begins with ABF sending ten state champion drivers to participate in the National Truck Driving Championship being held in Minneapolis, MN. This national competition, sponsored by the American Trucking Association, wraps up Saturday, August 25th. ABF service centers throughout North America will have special activities during Appreciation Week. Through random drawings, employees will be eligible to win items such as a personal computer system, DVD players or gift certificates. In addition, each ABF employee will receive a personal letter of appreciation from the company. This campaign not only recognizes the truck drivers of ABF®, but also acknowledges the contribution of each employee within the company.
