Following a successful debut in the 2006 NASCAR Busch Series, the ABF Racing Team continues its association with Braun Racing. This year, Braun fields a trio of Toyota Camry entries as it seeks to win the NASCAR Busch Series championship.
Already expectations are high. Last weekend, Dave Blaney placed second during the season opener in Daytona while driving the No. 32 car. This weekend, Blaney slips behind the wheel of the No. 10 ABF U-Pack Moving Toyota in pursuit of victory at the California Speedway.
With Blaney behind the wheel and Toyota Racing Development behind the crew, it looks to be an exciting season for the Braun Racing teams. ABF will be the primary sponsor for at least five races, when the No. 10 ABF U-Pack Moving Toyota hits the track.
ABF also will be an associate sponsor for the entire season for all of the Braun Racing Toyota entries, including the No. 38 Great Clips Toyota driven by Jason Leffler. Along with ABF, other Braun Racing sponsors include Great Clips, Camping World, FOE.com, and Hass Avocados.
"ABF welcomes Toyota to the team and congratulates them on their move into the NASCAR Busch Series. Were proud to be a part of such a historic moment in the history of NASCAR," says Danny Loe, ABF marketing and public relations director.
We are thrilled to be working with Toyota and Toyota Racing Development, says Crew Chief Trent Owens. The entire organization is top-notch and they have come into the racing world in a big way. Their success has been proven in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and Im looking forward to being a part of the ground stages in NASCARs top-two divisions. Dave is one of the best drivers around and with Toyotas resources, I dont see why we cant contend for the Busch Series title right out of the gate.
Mooresville, N.C.-based Braun Racing recently formed an alliance with Busch Series teams Biagi Bros. Racing and ppc Racing. "I'm very excited about this opportunity for Braun Racing to align itself with two very strong Busch Series teams. With the knowledge of these two previous owners, Braun Racing will be even stronger in the 2007 season, says Braun Racing owner Todd Braun.
"In 2006 Braun Racing merged with Akins Motorsports and that partnership proved beneficial for both teams, so we have high expectations for this alliance. We have created one team with the combined experience of four seasoned owners allowing us to compete on a level playing field in a series dominated by Nextel Cup team owners."
