The Load Team comprises top freight-handling professionals from distribution centers throughout the ABF North American network.

Besides showing appreciation for these exceptional individuals, the Load Team program draws upon the experience and expertise of outstanding freight handlers. Team members come to the General Office in Fort Smith each year to share information regarding dock procedures and equipment with officers and department heads.

Load Team members are selected by branch managers and regional vice presidents of operations. Selections are based on the employee's safety record, involvement in the Quality Process, integrity, and ability to load trailers "high and tight."

The ABF Load Team was established in 1994. The program is designed to show appreciation to exceptionally talented individuals who handle freight at distribution centers.
