WE WILL adequately serve the needs of the shipping public by meeting the agreed-upon requirements of our customers. With consistency in pickup and delivery a priority, we will handle information requests quickly. Our sales representatives' high degree of professional knowledge will assist customers in every phase of their logistics needs.

WE WILL conduct our company business in accordance with all existing regulations. We will conduct our business within the framework of regulations laid down by the Department of Transportation (DOT), and federal, state, and local government agencies. All federal work will be solicited and performed in strict compliance with all federal statutes and regulations.

WE WILL price our transportation fairly and equitably to assess and collect all charges due.

WE WILL present our company and its views truthfully in all advertising and public relations releases. ABF will support truth in advertising. The presentation of our company through advertising and public relations will meet the highest standards in all mediums used.

WE WILL deal honestly and fairly with our customers, who expect nothing less than the straight truth and kept promises. Customers will be asked to pay all legal charges. We will refund to them the amount of all overcharges discovered in our internal audit program. These refunds will be immediate and voluntary.

WE WILL be a significant carrier in the markets we sell. We will continue to grow competitively, adhering to the transportation axiom that moving freight on direct schedules depends on a sufficient amount of tonnage: 1) limited participation in a widely scattered marketing area does not produce a satisfactory profit; 2) light freight movements mean unacceptable load averages for giving service; and 3) these light freight movements increase distribution service center costs.

WE WILL operate profitably, always aiming our profitability efforts well above that generally found in the motor carrier industry. We will remain committed to the market principles that sustain employment and increase capital for expansion.

WE WILL continue to utilize expansion in meeting our customers' requirements as they themselves experience growth and change. Our goal will remain to deliver all shipments on time, intact, complete, and with correct billing - whether in the U.S. or worldwide - a goal that separates the leaders from the rest of the industry.
