Track Your Shipments by E-mail

ABF® realizes that shipment visibiltiy is one of the most critical aspects of transportation management. For that reason, we offer a variety of avenues for you to easily access your shipment status information, including many online tools like Tracking & E-mail Notification, Status Reports, Shipment Planner and by our wireless solution, ABF Anywhere.

In addition to these resources, when you may not be online, you can request shipment status information via e-mail. To use this feature, simply send an e-mail message to ABF that includes your shipment reference numbers by following these steps.

Formatting a Message for Tracking by E-mail Step Example (body of message) First, set the message "TO" address to "tracking@mail.abfs.com".   To have the shipment status returned to other e-mail addresses in addition to your address, type "TO:" or "CC:" followed by a space and the e-mail address. This step is optional. TO: JOHNDOE@ABC.COM CC: JANEDOE@ABC.COM To track a shipment by the ABF pro number, type "PRO" followed by a space and the pro number. Pro numbers do not require you to enter your ABF account number. PRO 111222333 To track a shipment by a reference number other than the pro number, type the reference type (e.g. "BOL") followed by a space and the corresponding reference number. Valid reference types include: "BOL", "PO", "PRIOR", "CRN" and "CUST". Directly after the reference number type "ACCT" followed by a space and your ABF account number. BOL Z991122 ACCT 999999 You may list up to 100 shipments in a single e-mail message. Be sure to type each entry on a new line. All shipment information will be returned in a single e-mail.
