ABF Q-Rate for Windows Client/Server Network Installation
 
  To install Q-Rate for a client/server network:
  I.   Install Q-Rate application and data files on network server (see below).
II.  Install Q-Rate system files on network clients (see below).
III. Create a shortcut on each client (see below).
 
I. Network Server Installation
  Perform the Network Server Install from a client machine to the server.
 
  Download ABF Q-Rate for Windows® Server Package Version 1.13.1

  Download Instructions
   Perform the Network Server Install from a client machine to the server.
 
  1. Use the link above to download the server installation package.
  2. At the "Choose Destination Location" screen, press Browse to select the NETWORK drive to install to.
  3. Install the Client Support files on each client machine (see instructions below).
 
II. Network Client Installation
 
  Download ABF Q-Rate for Windows® Client Package Version 1.13.1
  28MB (4min on a T1 line|25min at 512k|45min at 128k|1hr 40min at 56k)

III. Creating a Shortcut
 
  After Q-Rate has already been installed to both the network server and the client machine, a shortcut may be created.
 
  1. From the client machine access the folder on the network where the application resides. (ie: [Drive Letter or Name:]\Program Files\ABF Freight System\ABF Q-Rate for Windows)
  2. Select the file, Qratewin.exe, highlighting it.
  3. Right-click and select Create Shortcut.
  4. Copy "Shortcut to Qratewin.exe" to the client's desktop.
  5. Right-click, "Shortcut to Qratewin.exe".
  6. Select "Properties"
  7. Set the "Start In" option to the folder on the network where the application resides.
