Item 160 : Quotation of Estimated Charges

1. When ABF has furnished, either orally or in writing, an estimate of published tariff charges, that estimate will be based on the effective published tariff provision(s) and the facts concerning the shipment(s) which are provided to ABF.   2. Estimates of freight charges are furnished as a convenience to the shipping public, represent an approximation of freight charges, and are not binding either on ABF or the shipper.   3. All transportation charges on a shipment will be assessed on the basis of provisions legally in effect at the time of shipment and the characteristics of the freight actually tendered to ABF.   ABF 111-AB, Item 160
